We were honored to speak at the AZ Spinal Cord Injury Association’s first annual Conference “Push Forward After
\nSpinal Cord Injury” and share our story of how we have pushed forward! The conference brought together the community of consumers with spinal cord injury, family members, caregivers and professionals. The focus was inspiration and encouragement <\/b>as well as\u00a0resources and technology <\/b>that is available.<\/p>\n

It was an honor as well to partner with Joni and Friends <\/b>at our vendor table! Joni and Friends is such an awesome ministry for those afflicted by disability and their families. Two of their main focuses are Family Retreats <\/b>held each summer across the world & their Wheels for the World<\/b> program that collects old wheelchairs, refurbishes them, and shipping them overseas to people in need; giving them mobility that otherwise they would most likely never have.<\/p>\n

We were greatly inspired by the entire conference &\u00a0encouraged\u00a0by all of the people with spinal cord injuries that have pushed forward <\/i><\/b>for greater independence with awesome attitudes! As well, we were reminded of how thankful we are for our family, the KCT Project & all that God has blessed us with.<\/p>\n

After sharing what we’ve lost, have had to endure and continue to endure on a daily basis, we shared some of what helps us get through<\/b> & push forward<\/i>: being thankful; counting our blessings; looking at the bigger picture; focusing & caring about others; not having pride, selfishness or greed; random strangers, neighbors and friends that have stepped up to help, love and encourage us; and ultimately our hope and faith in Jesus is what gives us inner strength, true peace, joy and happiness within for a happy, fulfilling life.<\/p>\n

Know that no matter what you are going through, you CAN Push Forward!<\/b> Get the help you need, have great council around you, along with love & support from people that truly care about you. Get inspired by others & all the opportunities that await you in life & then be an inspiration to others!<\/p>\n
