We were honored to be invited to speak at this year\u2019s Joni and Friends Arizona Director\u2019s Dinner annual fundraiser held at the Phoenix Zoo. Our host Vanessa Rose Williams from TBN interviewed us to share a little of our story of some of the amazing things God has done in our life and how we have been impacted by Joni and Friends with their Family Retreat.<\/span><\/p>\n

What an exciting night to have the privilege to share along with the President and COO of Joni and Friends from California, Doug Mazza, as he shared his story as well. We both shared how in each of our lives when we weren\u2019t able to do it on our own and how when we surrender to God, we\u2019re able to do anything in His strength and have a joy-filled life. We are not meant to go through anything on our own. So much of the time many of us try to do it in our own strength yet it results in suffering, bitterness, or giving up. It is easier and meant for us to do in His strength. It\u2019s not that \u201cGod won\u2019t give us more than we can handle\u201d. There\u2019s a lot in life we really can\u2019t handle, God won\u2019t give us more than we can handle \u201cIn His Strength\u201d. So, when we\u2019re going through whatever it is that\u2019s tough, traumatizing, or difficult in our own eyes…if we surrender, pray & rely on God then He\u2019ll bless us with His peace & joy.<\/span><\/p>\n
