Honor Others
June 3, 2016 1:47 pm Leave your thoughtsWe had the opportunity to visit Mount Rushmore on our summer road trip. What a sight it was, our Founding Fathers and Presidents that fought for our freedom and the rights we have today. It was an honor to be in the presence of the monument knowing what it stands for, the sacrifice each of those great men made for us, and the hard work of the artists and workers of the memorial.
Along the same lines, earlier this week we celebrated Memorial Day remembering all the soldiers and families that have sacrificed for our freedom. We also think of the one that made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom…Jesus. He died for our sins that we may have life; a life here on earth of freedom & joy, as well as our eternal life.
We encourage you (as we remind ourselves) to honor those mentioned above who sacrificed for our freedom – not just one day a year, but as we live our daily lives. We can also honor and love each other every day by showing love, respect and compassion for all humankind by the way we treat people. “Do to others what you would have them do to you”!
xoxo,
The Taylors
